Aamulla aurinko pilkisti pilviseltä taivaalta ja lämpötilakin oli ihan mukava. Puuhasimme aamupalaa keittiössä, kun vanhempi poikani kysyi, että ”oletko sinä äiti hyvällä tuulella”. Mieheni ehti heti tähän todeta, että ”äiti on aina iloinen kun aurinko paistaa” ja niin se taitaa vähän ollakin. Katoimme pienen puutarhamajan edessä olevalle pikkupöydälle aamupalan. Aurinko paistaa sinne parhaiten aamusta ja lehtiköynnöksien täytttämä katos antaa sopivasti varjoa.
Aurinko alkoi porottaa voimakkaammin ja päädyimme makoilemaan altaalle päiväksi. Tämä on kunnon elämää kuten esikoisellani on tapan sanoa silloin, kun asiat ovat todella hyvin. Altaan vesi oli yhä aika viileää, joten se oli kyllä pienoinen pettymys lapsille. Onneksi aurinko lämmittää veden nopeasti ja pikkuhiljaa pojatkin tottuivat lämpötilaan.
Täytyy kyllä sanoa, että talo ei pelkästään ulkoa ole näyttävä vaan myös sisältä upea. Keittiö on viihtyisä ja täysin provencelaiseen maalaistyyliin sopiva - silti erinomaisesti varusteltu. Olohuone on sisustettu kauniisti yksityiskohdilla; samoin kaikki makuuhuoneet ovat erilaisia väritykseltään mutta silti kokonaisuus on harmooninen ja tunnelmallinen. Huonekalut ovat rustiikkisia; on arkkuja, erilaisia lamppuja, tauluja sekä paljon pienempiä koristeite-esineitä. Puu ja kivi hallitsevat materiaalivalinnoissa. Huomaa, että tämä on jonkun oma villa - tuskin tehty pelkästään vuokrakäyttöön - sillä yksityiskohtiin on todella panostettu. Blogiakin saa kirjoitella yläkerran sinisessä makuuhuoneessamme puupöydällä, jonka pinta on sini-valkoista mosaiikkia. Vieressä komeilee sulkakynä mustepulloineen. Tosin niillä blogin kirjoitus ei varmaan onnistuisi.
Tästä päivästä ei varmaan sen kummempia kannata kirjotella vaan antaa kuvien puhua puolestaan. Ja jos jotain jää kiinnostamaan, niin talo on löytynyt ihan Airbnb:n kautta.

The morning started with the sun peeking out through the clouds and the temperature was quite nice. We were preparing breakfast in the kitchen, when my older son asked me ”are you Mom in a good mood?” My husband replied immediately that ”Mom is always happy when the sun is shining” and I guess he’s right. This time we had breakfast at the little table in front of the garden house. The sun shines there the best in the mornings and the grapevine covered roof offers some shadow.
The sun started to shine even more and this turned out to be a relaxing day at the pool. This is real life as my older son uses to say, when things are good. The water in the pool was still chilly, so this was a bit disappointing to the children. Luckily, the the sun warms up quickly the water and the boys got used to the temperature.
I have to admit, that the house is not only on the outside impressive but also fantastic on the inside. The kitchen is cozy and fits perfectly into the Provençal rural style - yet it is excellently equipped. The living room is beautifully decorated with details. All the bedrooms are colored differently but still the overall impression is harmonious and ambient. The furniture is rustic - there are chests, various lamps, paintings and a lot of small decorative artifacts. The preferred materials are tree and stone. From the number of details it seems evident that this is somebody’s own villa - it’s hard to imagine that so much trouble would have been made just for purely renting the house. My blog posts are mostly written upstairs in our blue bedroom on a wooden table, which top is a blue and white mosaic. Besides me I have a quill and ink bottle. I guess writing the blog with those would not succeed.
No further comments on the day, let the pictures speak for themselves. And in case somebody was left to wonder, we have found the house on Airbnb.
